Guiding Insights

Empowerment is an inside job. No one can empower you but you,

and the skills of self-empowerment can be learned.

Management is a job description; leadership is a life decision. You do not need a manager title to be a leader, and in today’s turbulent and uncertain world we need leaders in every corner, not just the corner office.

The invisible architecture of values and culture is more important

than the visible architecture of bricks and mortar

and should be blueprinted just as carefully.

Culture is shaped by the collective attitudes and behaviors of people who work there, so culture will not change unless and until people change.

People will only change if they see a personal benefit to that change and are given the skills they need to make the change.

A culture of ownership is superior to a culture of accountability for employee and patient/customer experience,

as well as operating performance and financial outcomes.
